PD breaking news – Queen’s Birthday honours for Kos Sclavos, Ken Harvey and Graham Slade

Pharmacy leaders highlighted for their contribution.

Former Pharmacy Guild president Kos Sclavos has been cited “for significant service to the pharmacy profession through a range of retail, advisory and executive roles, to education, and to community health” in today’s 2017 Queen’s Birthday honours list.

Sclavos was named a Member (AM) in the General Division of the Order of Australia, with a long list of roles including positions at Terry White Group, Hygeia Health Strategies, the APP conference, Project Stop, Guild Group Holdings, Gold Cross Products and Services and many more.

Graham Slade, proprietor of Slade Pharmacy Services, was named Member (AM) in the general division of the order of Australia for “significant service to the community as a supporter of aged care, medical and multicultural associations, and to the pharmacy profession”.

And Monash University’s Associate Professor Ken Harvey was named a Member (AM) in the General Division of the Order of Australia “for significant service to community health and the pharmaceutical industry through roles in developing guidelines for the ethical use of antibiotics”.
