NOW in its 20th year, Guardian Pharmacy's Guardian Angels Knitting Program has donated more than 50,000 garments to St Vincent de Paul Society, in a bid to provide the 116,000 Australians experiencing homelessness and the three million in poverty with warm winter wear.
The initiative, which in its lifetime has provided over two million knitted garments, called on Australian knitting enthusiasts to lend a hand to those less fortunate by creating winter woollies including beanies, scarves, jumpers and gloves.
Gorokan Guardian Pharmacist, Eric Ngo and his team (pictured) enjoyed another successful year of leading the local Guardian Angels, attributing the success to the passionate community volunteers in Gorokan.
"The Guardian Angel program is very close to my heart and our team loves working with the community to give a helping hand to the local Vinnies," Ngo said.
