SENIOR officials from the Pharmacy Guild of Australia met with Prime Minister Scott Morrison last week to discuss the government's support for community pharmacy.
Guild Queensland Branch President Trent Twomey and National President George Tambassis (pictured with the PM) took the opportunity to "raise a couple of outstanding issues," as well as to "reaffirm our hope that the Coalition will provide the Pharmacy Guild and our members with a strong letter of support for community pharmacy before the election".
According to an update to Guild members from Tambassis last Thu, Prime Minister Morrison undertook to provide such a letter.
Tambassis noted that the ALP had already provided its own letter of support for the community pharmacy sector, adding that "we will circulate the Coalition letter as soon as it is received for the information of members, and to assist you in weighing your choices in Federal Election 2019".
