Dificid TGA approval

THE Therapeutic Goods Administration has approved Optimer Pharmaceuticals’ Dificid (fidaxomicin) tablets for the treatment of confirmed Clostridium difficile infection in adults. Dificid will be available effective 14 May from Specialised Therapeutics Australia,which has licensed exclusive rights to fidaxomicin in Australia and NZ.
