THE Australian College of Pharmacy has announced the release of its latest Continuing Professional Development (CPD) e-learning module on 'Improving the injection experience for patients using insulin'.
Covering pharmacist competencies 2.3, 4.2, 4.3, 6.1, 6.2, 6.3 and 7.2, the College said this module was designed to build on pharmacists' existing knowledge of insulin therapy for diabetes and help them advise patients on the optimal insulin injection technique.
Learning objectives include an understanding of the different modes of action of available insulins, varying regimens of therapy, how to commence treatment for both type 1 and 2 diabetes patients, common adverse events, difference in needles and their supportive data and more.
To receive the four Group 2 CPD credits, participants need to complete the eLearning module and successfully complete the CPD assessment - CLICK HERE.
