PHARMACEUTICAL Society of Australia (PSA) South Australian and Northern Territory Branch President, Robyn Johns, will step down next month, with Veronika Seda being elected as her successor.
In a post on LinkedIn, Seda said she was humbled to have been named as President-elect, saying she has "big shoes to fill".
"There has been so much that [the] SA/NT Branch has achieved thanks to the incredible and dedicated people on the Branch [Committee]," she said.
"Thank you to outgoing President Robyn Johns for your guidance, wisdom and fantastic promotion and showcase of what pharmacists can do to keep our community safe and healthy.
"Thank you to past and present Branch Committee members for your trust in me and my skills and for bringing me to the PSA 'pharmily' table - I am eternally grateful for your support and enthused to have worked or be working with you.
"As an overseas pharmacist, I was grateful to be included in a group of passionate young pharmacists in Adelaide, I want to encourage all pharmacists out there, no matter your age, experience and place you come from, to reach out to your local branches and become a part of the pharmacists' family.
"Become a member of PSA... trust me on this one, it is one of the best investments I have made."
