THE UK National Health Service (NHS) has announced that all NHS staff members who refuse to have the flu vaccine this winter will have to give reasons to their employer, as leaders toughen their approach to improve take-up rates, according to a report in the BMJ.
All NHS leaders have instructions to write to all staff urging them to have the flu vaccine as soon as possible as winter approaches.
Those who refuse will need to give reasons which will be recorded.
