A pharmacist in the USA has this week reached a settlement with prosecutors in relation to allegations of a major health-care fraud scheme.
John Lemley, owner of Southern Compounding in Illinois, has entered a plea agreement on charges of conspiring to defraud prescription benefit schemes of more than US$10 million.
Prosecutors alleged improper contracts, kickbacks and script forgeries, including selling misbranded OTC drugs as prescription medications.
