THE Platform Alliance Group (PAG) has announced its expert speaker line-up at their Inspiring Success Summit in Adelaide from 27-30 Aug, to support pharmacy owners in taking on industry challenges and opportunities.
Pharmacy owners from PAG's member pharmacies Chemist Discount Centre, Pharmacy Alliance, Advantage Pharmacy and Pharmacy Catalyst will hear about plans to face industry challenges, such as 60-Day Dispensing and other post-COVID-19 impacts, as well as opportunities in technology and digital.
CEO Dave Fenlon said, "following our recent 60-Day Dispensing webinars and roadshow events in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth where we spoke to 1,000 member and non-member pharmacy owners, it's clear that they need immediate and long-term support to take on what will be the next biggest challenge for them since price disclosure".
"With the govt officially releasing the first 92 medicines of the 60-Day Dispensing policy, at our PAG Member Summit, we will encourage more than 200 pharmacy owners to think past challenges and turn them into opportunities to continue delivering exceptional care for their communities like they did throughout the COVID-19 pandemic measures."
The PAG Member Summit will try to inspire members with sessions from thought leaders, including futurist David Wild, international retail expert Gal Shivtiel, Arrotex CEO and entrepreneur Dennis Bastas and founder of Daily Dispatch Paul Cross.
The PAG Leadership team will aim to also outline plans for its discount brand Chemist Discount Centre, its community-focused brand Alliance Pharmacy, and its patient-pharmacist relationship-focused brand Advantage Pharmacy, as well as support independent pharmacies part of Pharmacy Catalyst, Pharmacy Alliance and Advantage members.
Chief Innovation Officer Andrew Pattinson added, "we are combining our previously held events, the Pharmacy Alliance Members Forum, Pharmacy Catalyst Conference, and the Chemist Discount Centre Annual Dinner into one event for all our members for the first time".
"Not only do we want our member delegates at the Summit to feel supported by our 160 expert team in operations, commercial, technology and marketing, but we also want them to feel supported by their pharmacy owner peers.
"We also want to showcase the enhancements we've made in our loyalty and reporting platform, KnowITAll and our buying automation platform, Buy It Right, to give our pharmacies more time to focus on helping their patients with their health.
"We also have 40 sponsors keen to show our members their new initiatives to help them take on the future."
