Fred IT CEO to stay on as the acquisition goes ahead.
Telstra Health has announced its full acquisition of Fred IT Group, a leading provider of IT solutions for the pharmacy sector.
The move marks the culmination of a decade-long joint venture between Telstra Health and Fred IT Group.
Telstra Health, Australia’s premier digital health solutions provider, initially purchased a 50% stake in Fred IT in 2013.
It is now acquiring the remaining 50% from the Pharmacy Guild of Australia (Victoria branch) and Fred IT co-founder and CEO Paul Naismith.
Fred IT Group’s services and operations will continue unchanged, with Naismith retaining his role as CEO alongside the existing team.
This acquisition is part of a series of strategic partnerships for Telstra Health, which was established in 2013.
