THE Health Care Complaints Commission has prosecuted pharmacist Felix Yue Sing Chan before the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal.
Chan was convicted of unlawfully obtaining benefits under the National Health Act 1953 while owning three pharmacies in the ACT and NSW between 2018 and 2020.
Additionally, Chan failed to notify the National Board within seven days of being charged and convicted of these offences.
On 03 Sep, Chan was found guilty of professional misconduct and unsatisfactory conduct, resulting in the cancellation of his registration with a non-review period of nine months.
He was also reprimanded for failing to notify the Board.
