OPELLA healthcare company is delivering a major site decarbonisation project at its North Brisbane facility, thanks to $1.94 million in funding from the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA).
By leveraging heat pump electrification for dehumidification, the initiative is projected to achieve an annual reduction of around 1,200 tonnes of CO, with an only 2% increase in electrical consumption.
The site already operates on 100% renewable electricity, including 2,700 solar panels, providing around 22% of the site's total electricity.
The B Corp certified company behind brands such as Nature's Own, Ostelin and Cenovis said this marks a significant milestone that helps to achieve its net-zero goals.
