Mental health tenders

THE Department of Health and Ageing has issued an open invitation to apply for funding to develop and deliver Virtual Clinic mental health services. According to the Minister for Mental Health and Ageing, Mark Butler, the Govt wants the Virtual Clinics to be an area where people with low to moderate levels of mental disorders can receive online counselling with the assistance of a therapist. “Therapists will use cognitive behavioural therapy techniques to deliver online counselling and will also be able to refer clients to selfguided online therapies, or other services, according to the client’s needs,” Butler said.
