MEGAN Cahill has been
appointed as the new Chief
Executive Officer of General
Practice Education and Training.
Cahill, who comes to the role with
20 years experience in the health
sector, will replace Erich Janssen,
who is stepping down after six
years as GPET’s CEO.
MEANWHILE the Minister for
Health Tanya Plibersek also
confirmed that Dr Tony Sherbon
has been appointed as the
permanent CEO of the Independent
Hospital Pricing Authority.
Dr Sherbon has been acting CEO
since December 2011 when IHPA
was established under the National
