SANOFI-AVENTIS has launched
a hostile bid for Genzyme, after
management at the target
company refused to negotiate.
The US$69 per share offer is at
the same price already rebuffed by
Genzyme a month ago, but is now
being offered directly to Genzyme
shareholders.

offer will be successful ultimately.
