AN new audit of EU
anticoagulant use in European
hospitals has found that more than
half of all European patients
admitted to hospitals who are given
anticoagulants during their stay are
given Sanofi-Aventis’s Clexane
(called Lovenox in France and the
US).
The report, compiled by
Arlington Medical Resources, also
found that patients admitted for
surgical venous thromboembolism
(VTE) primary prophylaxis
accounted for 48% of all inpatient
