Bayer stem cell deal

BAYER Schering Pharma has announced a new global strategic alliance with US firm OncoMed Pharmaceuticals to “discover, develop and commercialise novel anti-cancer stem cell therapeutics”. OncoMed was founded in 2004 to investigate “cancer stem cells” which are postulated to drive the growth of tumours.
