Merck Serono Australia has
launched a new “patient support
program” (PSP) for first line
access to its Erbitux treatment for
metastatic colorectal cancer.
Under the program Merck
Serono will pay for every second
treatment using Erbitux, and once
the patient contribution reaches
$16,000 Merck will pay for every
subsequent treatment.
Erbitux will be ordered through,
and shipped directly to, the
patient’s nominated pharmacy for
dispensing and the pharmacy will
be charged at the price of $400 per
100mg/20mL vial.
The medication must be ordered
and purchased directly from Merck
Serono Australia Customer Service.
The PSP will be available from 01
Jun-31 Dec 2013.
