Nizoral update

JANSSEN has issued a statement saying that it maintains that oral Nizoral (ketoconazole) tablets continue to have a positive benefit to risk profile for restricted indications. The move follows confirmation that Nizoral is to be deregistered (PD Fri) after consultations with the Therapeutic Goods Administration. “With the introduction of alternative treatments for fungal infections we have decided to discontinue oral formulations of Nizoral,” the company said.
