TGA to use docuBridge software for ARTG e-applications.
The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) has just announced an agreement with Lorenz to use its docuBridge software to receive, review and process electronic applications for the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG).
Calling the step a “milestone”, the TGA said the software would be used in the application process for the entry of prescription medicines and other products on the ARTG.
The agreement follows a request for tender in September 2012 for software and services to process data electronically, with the TGA saying the amount it received in paper format was large, and costly to produce, handle and store.
The TGA said it would work with stakeholders this year to introduce the system.
