A GROUP of patients with a rare
blood disease called Paroxysmal
Nocturnal Haemoglobinuria (PNH)
have launched a campaign to raise
awareness of the condition.
The extremely rare disease
causes red blood cells to explode,
but the patients have been denied
“long-awaited medical funding
promised by the Government” in
this year’s Federal Budget.
The auto-immune disease can be
treated by Soliris (eculizumab)
