THE US Food and Drug
Administration has warned a
pharmacy in Florida to stop
compounding its own animal
medications, after it was revealed a
horse supplement created by the
pharmacy had killed 21 elite polo
horses in 2009.
The FDA has also brought a
federal court injunction against
Franck’s Compounding Lab in
Ocala, saying its animal
medications are unsafe and illegal.
The pharmacy has vowed to
