PRIVATE hospital pharmacy
provider HPS Pharmacies says the
appointment of industry veteran
Tony Wyatt as its new ceo is a
“significant milestone”.
Wyatt has shared the role of the
company’s chief operating officer
with fellow partner Kirsten Boyce
since founder and former ceo
Bruce Heal retired in 2009.
Chairman Andrew Holsman said
the business was in an “exciting
growth phase” and it was now time
to formalise its leadership.
“The Board is delighted that the
depth of our management team
and our internal succession
planning has enabled us to appoint
an internal candidate of Tony’s
calibre,” he said.
Wyatt has been an equity partner
within HPS since 2003, and before
that owned and operated various
hospital pharmacies across
Melbourne as well as holding the
role of Managing Partner within a
large hospital pharmacy business.
HPS currently services more than
300 hospitals, aged care and
correctional service facilities from a
total of 18 pharmacy locations in
SA, Vic, Qld, WA, NSW and Tas.
The business employs more than
300 staff and has an annual
turnover of more than $100 million.
