Deal part of EBOS’ expanding presence in the delivery and administration of specialty pharmacy products.
Symbion parent company EBOS has just announced the acquisition of Sydney-based ZEST Healthcare Communications, with EBOS ceo Patrick Davies saying the deal would “add valuable new specialised healthcare resources to complement the range of existing distribution and market access services in the Group”.
He said pharmaceutical companies are increasingly seeking partners with deep local sector knowledge and the skills required to create customised solutions for the delivery and administration of specialty products.
“ZEST has been a pioneer and leader in providing a range of specialised services to pharmaceutical companies for ten years now…the combined strength of EBOS and ZEST will enable full end-to-end service provision for selected products,” Davies said.
This would include everything from storage and distribution, to program creation and management, as well as community-based access and administration, he added.
Davies said there are many new products that require innovative delivery models, and EBOS is adapting its business to participate in these emerging opportunities.
