A STUDY has found evidence for
Zika virus infection causing Guillain-
Barré syndrome, an autoimmune
condition.
Researchers used blood samples
from 42 patients diagnosed with
Guillain-Barré syndrome and found
41 of those had anti-Zika virus IgM
and all had neutralising antibodies
against Zika.
Symptoms of the syndrome
emerged around six days after Zika
