ACUPUNCTURE isn't just for humans, with an increasing number of vets looking to it as a cure for pet's ailments.
UK vet Nadine Headley swears by the treatment, telling The Mirror she has animals from rabbits with digestive problems and dogs with muscular pain to furry friends with osteoarthritis and aggression issues.
"The needles are very fine and once you've put in a couple of needles, pets start to relax," she explains.
She believes the improvements can be anything from mild to dramatic with the biggest benefit being that the animals are "happier in themselves again".
It may sound like a good idea but we certainly aren't convinced all our feline friends would be as accepting as the one pictured below while the vet pricks dozens of needles in its back.
A BRITISH man called the police to report his girlfriend for committing a crime: overfeeding their hamster and making it look like "a fat little piggy".
He had the sense to ring the non-emergency line but not the brains to realise it wasn't an issue for the police force to deal with.
"I know it sounds daft but it's my little hamster," the man told police during the call.
"He was my pride and joy. I need him back now, he has only got a couple of years left".
