SOMETIMES celebrating a win on the sporting field can get a little too intense.
Enter Canadian professional baseball player for the Toronto Blue Jays, Russell Martin (pictured) whose left pinky finger was split open while slapping an intense high-five when his team beat the Baltimore Orioles this week.
More than just a minor ailment, Martin had to receive several stitches for the laceration.
The news about his injury starting travelling after Sportsnet's Arden Zwelling sent this Tweet: "Russ Martin split open his pinky finger on his left hand giving a high five after the game. Got stitched up. Says he's fine to play".
Guess he might just tone down the post-game festivities next time.
NEW British father Ross Watson has posted a video of himself online taste testing his wife's placenta both raw and cooked.
During his epicurean adventure he decides the delicacy definitely taste better cooked.
He enjoys both versions of the placenta as sides to his hot breakfast.
"Nine months in the cooking and about 10 minutes in the eating. Cheers" he tells viewers.
