MINISTERIAL approval will no longer be required for New Zealand patients requiring medicinal cannabis with more authority in the hands of specialists.
The New Zealand Ministry of Health already had the power to sign-off on a specialist's application to prescribe pharmaceutical-grade drug Sativex, and more relaxations are planned.
