THE type 1 diabetes cause received a significant boost on the weekend with the sixth annual Jelly Bean Ball, which took place at Sydney's Hyatt Regency Hotel.
Organised by the Danii Foundation, which was instrumental earlier this year in a decision by Health Minister Greg Hunt to fund Continuous Glucose Monitors (PD 03 Apr 2017), sponsors of the gala event included Medtronic, Helloworld Travel, Novo Nordisk and Pharmacy Daily.
More than $150,000 was raised at the event by the foundation which campaigns for affordable, life-saving remote alert technology for people with type 1 diabetes, and to raise awareness of potentially fatal diabetic ketoacidosis - danii.org.au.
