Chemist Warehouse agrees not to buy from another CSO wholesaler.
Sigma Healthcare has just confirmed a “negotiated settlement” in its dispute with Chemist Warehouse, which had seen the retail pharmacy giant threaten to purchase generics from an alternative supplier.
Sigma said Chemist Warehouse/My Chemist had given an undertaking not to pursue the procurement of products from another CSO wholesaler for the remaining term of the agreement.
As a result of the settlement Sigma has confirmed its current year EBIT guidance of $90 million, with next year also anticipated to be at a similar level.
“Importantly, both parties are committed to a more constructive approach to discussions for a new agreement, with discussions expected to advance over the 2018 calendar year,” said Sigma ceo Mark Hooper.
