LISTED medications adherence specialist MedAdvisor has enhanced its PlusOne platform to enable data collection requirements for professional services under the Sixth Community Pharmacy Agreement.
The new functionality, which has been introduced ahead of the 01 Feb 2018 deadline for the introduction of pharmacy data collection, allows pharmacies to record all required information for Dose Administration Aids, MedsChecks and Diabetes MedsChecks at both the point of initiation and follow-up.
PlusOne, which was launched earlier this year as a rebranded pharmacy software solution combining the features of MedAdvisor and Healthnotes, already supports data collection for Staged Supply.
"The all-in-one Medication Management, Patient Communications and Professional Services platform allows pharmacies to record 6CPA programs and other services such as flu vaccinations, leave certificates and more," said MedAdvisor ceo Robert Read.
He said the 6CPA funded programs play a critical role in community pharmacy.
"The new data collection requirements will further demonstrate the value that pharmacy services provide for both patients and the health care system," Read added.
He said the speed and simplicity of the software's professional services feature had been positively received, while ongoing development of the system will "bring new services and revenue opportunities to pharmacy, as well as automation capabilities to drive consumer demand".
All pharmacies currently subscribed to Plus One will have access to the new data collection capabilities from 01 Feb 2018, with pharmacist training commencing next month.
