EMPLOYEES of pharmaceutical giant GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) Australia banded together last week for Orange United Week, an annual employee fundraising initiative to raise money for Save The Children.
Within four days, the Australian team raised over $22,000 for the cause.
GSK Consumer Healthcare ANZ area general manager expressed the significance of the team going above and beyond to foster this partnership.
"With 1 in 6 children in Australia still living below the poverty line, it is important that we work together as a team to bring real change to the community," Agnew said.
"Orange United Week is a great example of how we are helping to save lives, not only through our scientific breakthroughs, but also via our fundraising efforts as a team.
"It also shows the wonderful impact we can have when we work as a team and have some fun," Agnew added.
In addition to Orange United Week, the local partnership has supported initiatives such as It Takes a Village, M.Y.Van, Mobile Playbus and establishing a new Emergency Health Unit.
