SUBMISSIONS made to the current Queensland Parliamentary Inquiry into the Establishment of a Pharmacy Council and transfer of pharmacy ownership (PD 23 May) closed on 13 Jul, with the committee confirming it is now preparing for public hearings.
Two consultation sessions are scheduled to be held in the Brisbane Parliamentary Annexe on Mon 20 Aug and Mon 03 Sep, with the hearings open to the public and also to be broadcast live online.
Further hearings for the inquiry will be held in centres outside of Brisbane on Mon 10 and Tue 11 Sep, with the committee to advise further when locations and times have been finalised.
The committee is also working through the submissions received and authorising their publication.
The inquiry's terms of reference include all transfers of pharmacy ownership in Qld since 2016.
