PRICELINE Pharmacy has announced the upcoming launch of a free Priceline-branded mobile app in partnership with GuildLink, allowing customers to manage their own medications and health services.
The Priceline Pharmacy app will enable secure ordering of new medication by patients after a GP visit, help to refill repeat prescriptions ahead of time and prompt to take the correct dose of their drugs at the right time.
It will link to a customer's regular Priceline Pharmacy Store, with Priceline gm Tamalin Morton saying the initiative is part of a long-term focus on better health outcomes.
She said Priceline had chosen to work with GuildLink because "they value the importance of the pharmacy-patient relationship and can provide digital and professional services across the entire Priceline Pharmacy network".
GuildLink acting ceo Jannine Johnson said pharmacies using the company's technology would also find it easier to record and report on all pharmacy services including immunisation and adverse events, as well as providing connectivity to My Health Record.
The Priceline Pharmacy app is set to launch later in the year.
