THIS month's edition of the Society of Hospital Pharmacists of Australia's Journal of Pharmacy Practice and Research (JPPR) focuses on medicines deprescribing, saying "mitigation of sub-therapeutic or potentially harmful polypharmacy as integral to all pharmacy practice".
An editorial by Editor-in-Chief of the SHPA flagship journal, Dr Chris Alderman, questions why the deprescribing movement is still struggling to find widespread traction, while other articles feature 10 recommendations for system-level improvements in the quality use of medications for older people in Australia.
