THE Therapeutic Goods Administration has launched a series of consultations in relation to medical devices, including a proposal to introduce a Unique Device Identification (UDI) system for medical devices in Australia.
The TGA said such a system would help improve traceability of medical devices in the supply chain, with views sought on the proposed regulatory changes required.
