ARROW Pharmaceuticals has partnered with PharmaPrograms to facilitate the new Flomaxtra Patient Program through community pharmacies.
Flomaxtra (tamsulosin hydrochloride) tablets 0.4mg is an authority RPBS item and a private prescription-only medicine for other patients, used to treat men who have symptoms associated with Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia.
The pharmacist-led program aims to improve medication compliance and persistence by facilitating communication between pharmacists and patients.
Doctors will inform their patients of participating Flomaxtra Patient Program Network pharmacy locations via an online portal.
The program is administered using a designated Patient Information Leaflet with key Quality Use of Medicines issues to be discussed with the patient.
PharmaPrograms will facilitate the program - more on 1300 689 575.
