NEW research investigating more than 83,000 patients has revealed that vitamin D probably won't lower risk of heart attack or stroke.
Published in JAMA Cardiology, US and Israeli researchers meta-analysed data from 21 randomised clinical trials, including three Australian studies, to reach their conclusions that "vitamin D supplementation may not confer cardiovascular protection and may not be indicated for this purpose" - jamanetwork.com.
