Mark Kinsela to commence as PSA CEO on 02 December 2019.
The Pharmaceutical Society of Australia has announced the appointment of Mark Kinsela as its new Chief Executive Officer.
Described as a “career-long health care advocate and health policy expert,” Kinsela has been an adviser to Federal government ministers, as well as working as a clinical nurse educator and trauma intensive care specialist. He was most recently Chief of Staff at the Australian Digital Health Agency.
PSA National President, Chris Freeman, said “we believe Mark’s training as a health care provider and executive MBA, combined with his impressive professional background, will help PSA continue to ensure our profession has the opportunity to positively contribute to policy making at the highest levels”.
He thanked interim CEO Shane Jackson for leading the organisation during its search for a new CEO. Jackson will step down in early December and will then continue to lead PSA’s negotiations for the 7CPA.
