TERRYWHITE Chemmart (TWC)Charlestown's, Michael Minter, has taken home the group's 2020 Pharmacists of the Year (PotY) Award.
Speaking at the group's Masterclass event gala dinner on Wed night, TWC CEO Duncan Phillips, noted Minter's passion for pharmacy as well as his motivation and drive.
"It's the calibre of our pharmacists that make TerryWhite Chemmart the pharmacy brand it is today and Michael is a true reflection of what it means to be great pharmacist," he said.
"Not only is Michael a great pharmacist, having been instrumental to his pharmacy of Charlestown taking out the NSW TWC Pharmacy of the Year in 2019, he is a community leader and driver of change recently helping to transform his pharmacy into a community safe-space for marginal groups in the local and greater Newcastle region."
"Michael also takes charge of the store's DAA growth and recruitment strategy, something he is particularly passionate about having witnessed a large number of medication misadventure incidents and the severe lack of health literacy affecting his local community."
