THE Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) has developed new capabilities for the testing of surgical masks and respirators, allowing them to be assessed for compliance with key performance criteria.
The TGA Laboratories is now conducting tests of these items for fluid resistance, particle filtration and sterility, as well as visual inspections of product labelling, design and quality.
The agency will make results available on a regular basis.
