Hunt extends free RAT program.
Eligible concession cardholders will retain access to free COVID-19 rapid antigen tests (RATs) until 31 July, as part of the Federal Government’s $2.1 billion investment in “winter preparedness”.
Federal Health Minister, Greg Hunt, has just announced the extension of the pharmacy-based scheme, which had been set to expire on 30 April.
The extended scheme will allow concession and Veteran Affairs cardholders to claim a further 10 RATs between the beginning of May and the end of July, with a maximum of five tests per month – in line with the program’s current rules.
