2nd Elyea indication

The TGA has approved a second indication for Bayer’s Eylea (aflibercept): the treatment of visual impairment due to macular oedema secondary to central retinal vein occlusion (CRVO) in adults, a condition affecting nearly 30,000 Australians aged 50 years or over. This approval may allow for longer injection intervals following the first three monthly injections based on a patient’s visual and anatomic outcomes.
