AUSTRALIAN and international researchers have identified a gene variant named HLA-B*15:01, that is common in people who were asymptomatic when they contracted COVID-19.
Looking at 136 people who reported no symptoms when they had COVID-19, the researchers say one in five carried the gene variant.
