on Mon night provided some
“much needed balance” to the
claims about statins and cholesterol
in two recent Catalyst episodes
which caused consternation in the
health profession (PD 30 Oct).
Media Watch revealed that
the “independent” experts who
appeared in the program were
actually co-authors of a book called
The Great Cholesterol Myth, with
conflicts of interest including the
sale of diet books and medicinal
products which claim to help with
heart health.
