ACE seminar July 31

THE Pharmaceutical Society
of Australia will hold this year’s
Advanced Clinical Education (ACE)
Seminar at the Aerial Function
Centre at the University of
Technology Sydney on 31 July 2013.
The topic is Aged Care, the fastest
growing health sector in Australia,
which encompasses a complexity of
conditions and a range of needs in
different age groups.
Keeping people functionally
independent and providing them
with a sense of well being will
substantially impact the health
dollar and on the overall quality of
life of our communities.
Presenters will include Professor
Maria Fiatarone Singh, a geriatrician
whose research, clinical, and
teaching career has focused on the
integration of geriatric medicine,
exercise physiology, and nutrition
as a means to improve quality of
life for the aged.
She will be joined by other
geriatricians and researchers,
including Professor David Le
Couteur, Dr Peter Veitch and
Professor Gustavo Duque,
presenting the latest evidence on
how to better manage the health of
our older Australians.
