Actavis Furiex deal

Actavis subsidiary Forest Laboratories has finalised the acquisition of Furiex Pharmaceuticals, in an all cash deal valued at about US$1.1 billion. The takeover boosts Actavis’ focus on gastroenterology, with Furiex’s developmental drugs incl irritable bowel treatment eluxadoline.
