RESEARCHERS from Advance Care Planning Australia (ACPA) are looking for health care organisations such as general practice clinics, aged-care facilities and hospitals to take part in a ground-breaking study about Advance Care Directives (ACDs) in health care services.
The focus of the study is to assess to what extent older Australians are receiving the medical care that they want, and how well their care aligns with their personal values and preferences.
ACPA medical director Karen Detering says, "Advance Care Directives are most valuable at the point of care, where they can be used to guide treatment decisions."
Online application forms are at advancecareplanning.org.au.
Applications close 26 Jul.
