NICOLA Roxon, former Federal Health Minister from 2007-2011, has been named as the new Chair of the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW).
Current minister Mark Butler said he was delighted at the appointment, saying "Roxon brings considerable experience to the role as she has led significant reform in the introduction of tobacco plain packaging".
