HEART of Australia last week conducted the first ever Healthy Roadshow in Queensland's Darling Downs, in conjunction with program partner Bayer.
The community health festival coincided with the Heart of Australia's regular mobile cardiac clinic visits, kicking off in Dalby on Thu 27 Jul before continuing through to Goondiwindi and finishing in St George last Sat.
National experts took part, presenting on animal well-being in livestock production, modern sustainable agriculture in Australia, managing allergies in rural areas, and preventing eye disease in people with diabetes.
"Bayer is bringing thought leaders in locally to bring the latest information to country communities," said cardiologist Dr Rolf Gomes, founder of Heart of Australia.
"This event is yet another example of their long-term commitment to supporting the health of all Australians".
